The 2013 Vegas is almost perfection. The 2008 was widley regarded as the benchmark and best vegas ever made and after that the swept wingtips and on the 09 onwards made it less appealing to some. For 2013 North have got the blend perfect with its new platform giving the kite excellent feel and feedback but also maintaining its wide windrange which often makes it the easiest C Kite to use.

Welcome to the introduction to the new 2013 North Vegas Kite. At long last we have some photos of the brand new model which has been re designed following a three year continuation of the same shape. Since 2010 the Vegas has had its existing C style kite shape which has made it a very safe all round C kite for all riders. This year among many other changes and as well as keeping the D2 Rip stop, North are using a more aggressive profile with wider less swept back wing tips which will aim to move it further away from the freestyle capabilities of the Rebel and rest of the range as a true performance kite. Its high depower and forgiving traits still remain however.
We are yet to see the colour schemes available, but I am assured there is more than the ‘marmite’ Orange and Purple that is photographe. There is a new 11m additon to the range.

About
The North Vegas has been around since 2005, and had a string influence on the freestyle and freeride community as a bullet proof well featured kite. It has always come in 5th line version with only the 2009 version coming in four line mode which didn’t really work.
The best years are 2006, 08, 10,11,12. The new 2013 is about to be release with the new wingtips and redesign. There has never really been a bad Vegas made but the 2007 was less popular due to its heavy bar pressure and poor one pump system. The 2009 was also less popular because it was produced, as a softer freeride kite. Bar pressure was more spongy and although it had some excellent features such as broad wind range it was not so much of a Hite
Who’s it for?
The Vegas has always been about freestyle freeride crossover. I kite a novice and intermediate can use to ride around on thanks to its very high CA kite depower and forgiving traits. Yet it boast many features of a high performance kite. Loads of bar feedback, pull back and HUGE boost and high jumps. You cant go much higher than you can on a Vegas. This will make you a better kite surfer than any SLE kite will.
Resale
Resale value is very strong but as more people move over to SLE, this may decline over the next few years.
Faults.
On the 2008 Vegas there was a slight issue with wearing around the wing batters, but this can be solved with a re-enforcement patch. The one pump system on the 2007 has many issues, otherwise faultless
