Shinn has been redeveloped for 2010 following  Mark going it alone with his own brand. We were paid a visit from Mark this month with a bag full of the boards that will be the new line up. Immediately impressed with how the boards looked, we began asking Shinny a little bit behind the line up and the design of each individual masterpiece.

The Shinn "The Player" is the new freestyle board designed by Mark. He seems to have a massive amount of knowledge in board design and this is instantly apparent upon firing questions to him about why this and why that. The Player has a very unique core which is what makes it different from the other boards out there. It has technology that is yet to be seen from most of the other board manufacturers as of yet. With a stiff deck which flexes more on the heels and less on the toes and moderate flex in the tips, its going to very aggressive whilst centred on performance and massive Pop on tap. G'10 Fins and memory foam filled pads which will become individual to the rider. Sounds good. They also come with a "man stance" 20 inch from inside bolt to inside bolt, which is one of the widest stances currently available on the market and something Mark insists on with a freestyle board. Attention to detail seems very important. A glorious gloss tech polished to perfection.

 The Luigi and Luigi's Brother range will be the board that is going to satisfy most riders. I know its tempting to buy the best most freestyle centred boarding in the range, but the luigi has been designed to work for all condition of riding and unless your pulling mega trick, then the benefits of the luigi will be great. The board has been slightly rounder tips with more flex. This will make it a diamond to carve about in style and comfort which is what most riders out there want. Again the board featured the unique technology that all the shinn boards in 2010 will come with. Upwind ability is claimed to be massive.
