In a nutshell
The Naish Torch 2012 has been recently tried and tested by the KIR Team. Despite its predecessors somewhat fidgety reputation, Naish have numbed down its highly strung character slightly. We think the 2011 torch was misunderstood. It delivered unparalleled high performance freestyle that was down to its narrow high aspect design. As a result of that it was a bit fidgety in lighter winds which often left a bad impression to less experience fliers. Despite this it was one of our favourite kites of 2011.
2012 and Naish have reined in its high aspect character which has left a delightful blend of high performance explosive pop and power than has made the Torch so special and a tame cruiser that is a little closer to a Vegas. Exceptional lift and pop. The best part of all about the Torch for me personally is the slack lines result in pop, making it AMAZING to learn your tricks with. This is a total GEM wrapped up in a high depower packet of lovelyness!
Description
The Naish Torch, is one longest running models on the market. Since 2003, the Torch has served the freestyle, freeride market, and as a result has sterling reputation for performance. The Torch is a fast flying high performance C kite, with colossal lift, and pop. This huge power comes from a small fast flying leading edge, which really defines the characteristics the Torch has. As a result the power delivery is explosive, generating short sharp bursts of explosive power, The Torch enables a rider to really progress with handles passes, because of the way it generates its power. A short spell of slack line follows quickly after it has delivered its initial thrust of power from Pop, which means it gives a rider an easy opportunity to pass the bar and progress so quickly with handle passes.
Bar feed back is precise and sharply tuned to delivery information right into the riders finger tips.
on the 2012 Torch, Naish have made the octopus system far more accessable in the event of a bladder repair, so maintainance is easy

Design and Features
• Power Foil Canopy/geo tech - a unqiue design that imporves durability and redices canopy fatuiqe over a period of time, which often reduces performance
• Radial Segmented C-Shape - Using short linear segments, the kites difinitive arc is accurately formed which distributes load evenly
• Direct Response Steering - pin sharp steering from square rigid windtips gives instant response
• Octopus Inflat ion System - easy to manage, quick to inflate and deflate
• Solid Frame Canopy with radical load distribution - All wing tips are designed with seams running parallel to the load generated by the flying lines. These seams carry most of the load and spread it higher into the canopy. This construction avoids fatigue on the fabric and in the wing tip area.
• Shift System Platform The shift system not only porivides one of the worlds best 5th line safety systems, but supports the leading edge of the kite. This means that Naish have been abale to reduce the size of the leading edge which gives the torch such unrivalled fast flying exlposive performance

The Torch comes with bag and pump, and is designed to work with the Naish Shift system. 9m demo available
