The Hadlow I.D is a long over due all rounded kite from Flexifoil. It features a square tipped deep canopy profile and short bridle system. In the sky it looks similar to an RPM, and also shares many of the RPM’s characteristics such as easy pop that anyone can access regardless of their ability, large wind range and a great feeling kite that shames previous generations of Numb SLE kites that had no feel and take the fun out of Kitesurfing.
The I.D like the RPM is here to put the fun back into Kitesurfing with added practicality. Where it differs from the RPM is how it performs. The I.D is almost an extreme version of the RPM. If you imagine a set of weighing scales each holding the disciplines the kite is used for. One side free style, the other freeride.
Well the I.D kite tips those scales into the freestyle end compared to the RPM. Its that slightly bit more refined for landing and executing your tricks. The treason for this is partly down to the added slack in the line that you seem to get when landing or releasing. It gives you so much time to do what ever you like with the bar. Pass it roll it smoke it.
As well as this bar pressure is just magic. Its very similar to the Hadlow freestyle kite. Weighty but not labouring. There is plenty of feedback delivered into your fingertips, more so than an RPM.
I would say relaunch although perfectly acceptable by todays standards is slightly slower than an RPM, but pull the back line and just wait.
This is one of the best kites we have tried this year. And a great product Flexi so badly needed in their product range to compete with the freestyle S.L.Es like the RPM that Slingshot do so well
The bar is the same old flexi style we know and love. Narrow diameter with the light weight chicken loop that despite being almost as old as the sport itself just works so well. Its doesn’t really need changing.
It features a great suicide connection point now too which will work very well for tricks.
