The Darko proved to be one of Slingshots most popular creations. It featured powerful wide edges for massive load and pop, as well as a lively wood core which was responsive and flexible. For 2012 Slingshot have changed the graphics and included an improved non slip Fast trask system.

 Produced by Slingshot with the Innovative Slingshot Fastrack system which is set to revolutionize the kite board market. The one limiting factor in kiteboard design is accomodating for different rider heights. Some need narrow stance and some want a wider stance. In the past, a kite board always has the stance set and inserts cannot be moved. Kiteboard designers try to accommodate the board for as many riders as possible which is not always best for freestyle riding. But now this has all changed with the Fast Track system which enables a rider to customize his stance settings, by easily increasing the distance in between the foot beds.

The new Darko is freestyle focused deck, but with fantastic flex thanks to its new wood core design, which will make it comfortable for all riders. The over sized tips give is a remarkable feel between waves and flats allowing a rider to load up even more energy and hold it for longer allowing for huge explosive pop. The wide tips also give it great boosting capabilities. The board however has a strong rocker line, which is a nice change from some of the very flat freestyle performance boards currently on the market. An extremely light weight deck, again thanks to its wood construction

His robust history began as the creative vision for metal rock bands such as Motley Crue, moving onto his role as creative director of Hot Wheels and finally opening his own art center with his wife in Portland, Oregon. Miq currently provides art for such brands as Nike, Mattel, Dell Computers and Slingshot.
