Why i love my Pro- X.
This board has rocked my world for three straight years. I actually had a premature dislike to the way it rode when i first tried it, It always used to trip me up and spit me out. After about 4 sessions, I began to warm to it, and looking back it has only force me to realise just how much time you need to give to something new.
This board is certainly not an all rounder, in the light winds, it craves more and more power, lacks pop, and doesn’t really come alive until its really given some energy. It’s very flat with slight curve on the tips, and touch of concave. Despite its aggressive presence and outline, it’s not really a board that thrives on freestyle tricks in light winds
The Pro X, is a fast, power hungry and highly strung. Its at its absolute best when the waves are crashing and the winds howling. The sheer power you can hold down in the deck is incredible, and as a result will complement a powerful kite and powerful rider the best. It actually has a remarkable amount of Pop, but requires a someone who has the power and weight to get this out of the board.
The pads are very secure with an enlarged toe grip and offer great feedback through the high density foam with dimpled surface to maximize grip, Straps remain flexible to all shapes and sizes of feet.
The 2.5 inch fins help develop the absolute control the board seems to have right on the edge of being out of control. In high winds, where other boards seem to struggle, and you as a rider begin to get overpowered the Pro X is a tool that will tame any kite in high winds.
If you’re the rider who craves the storm riding, dabbles in freestyle then I don’t think there is a better suited board on the market. No pussy footing. Pop hard, edge hard and it will reward like no other.
- Ideal for Freestyle in higher winders
- For Heavier more powerful riders
- Megaloops and Boosting huge
